This course (beginning January 10, 2022) is provided free of charge by the Central Ohio STEM Action Center and the Ohio STEM Learning Network.


Central Ohio STEM Action Center and OSLN would like you to join us in this flexible, asynchronous, 4-week online course, where participants will examine practical strategies while examining one’s own teaching materials and how they relate to culture and learning in the classroom. Course participants will examine how science education can flourish if it is connected to students’ backgrounds, identities, language, and culture. The course will include a discussion board and lesson/curriculum planning. Participants will need to purchase the text prior to the start of the course.

Complete all Course Materials to receive a certificate for 15 contact hours. College credit is also available.
